The area in which the screws are located was a PITA for me to install, but they do the job! I like that it's the type of material that would be okay to stain should I want to change the color up too.Installed on my own, very easy! Got many compliments.It’s a cute set of shelves but that’s about all that is good.1st step is to put the triangle supports on the shelves. No pre drilled holes found of the shelves. Drilling them causes splits and nicks and holes in the ‘wood’.2nd step is to attach to walls. The angles to attach the shelf to the wall are impossible with regular tools.We did get the shelves on the wall but they are mainly for show and very light objects. Not practical for books or similar weight objects. Thank goodness showy objects are what my child wanted to put on the shelves.It did turn out fine but we had to be creative and accept that these objects are not real sturdy shelves.I love how nice the wood looks. I had to purchase an extra long drillbit to get into the tiny corners. And offset drillbit would also help.Very wobblyThese are great looking shelves for a great price. You have the option of installing them with the brackets facing upward or downward. I installed the set I purchased in my smaller bathroom; they provide some additional storage/display space without being too obtrusive.Assembling the shelf boards to the brackets is simple. Mounting the shelves is a little more tricky. I recommend using a socket wrench with a Phillips bit socket or some other sort of right angle tool with low clearance; the 90 degree angle hole of the bracket has good access for a drill or regular sized screwdriver, but the other hole does not.I ended up using some of the included wall anchors, but I also was able to attach some sides of the shelves to studs, so they are very sturdy. These aren’t big shelves that are designed to hold a ton, so I am not worried about mine having any issues.Overall, these are a great buy if you are looking for simple, affordable shelves that look good and you own the right tools to install them.We like the hardware. It is solid. We do not like the planks. The planks look, and feel, like poorly molded plastic. We decided not to use the planks and are pursuing having solid boards cut to size to go with the hardware.A little tedious assembling. I pre-drilled the holes in the boards so as not to splinter the wood, some of the wood chipped off but could easily be filled or covered. Minor stuff. Over all love, I just ordered the Grey!I am unsure why there are so many bad reviews on these shelves. Easy to install, all the pieces that came in the packaging were there. The wood is fine quality for being 40 dollars for 3 shelves, and nothing was dinged in the packaging.We installed these shelves for my daughter. She loved them. Worked super well and looks nice. It helps to clean up her desk space. They are as measured. I wished they were a bit longer, but reasonably priced and perfect for holding small items or books.Bought three sets and we really like them! Neat how the brackets can go multiple ways for different looks. The wood is not heavy duty and very light when held but for small decorative items they are great. Arrived well packaged and all pieces included. Great little shelves for the price.I will never buy this again. The boards are extremely cheap quality and weak. Bad quality with high price! They can't hold any heavy or weighted objects at all. Do not waste your money for this.The look great and we’re easy to install. Will definitely buy again
